Cardiac & Pulmonary 10.15.12
Cardiac & Pulmonary Specific Memberships
People who have experienced a cardiac incident, or are living with a cardiac condition or a pulmonary condition may benefit greatly from regular exercise. The YMCA offers strategic fitness classes for people who want to maintain or improve their Cardiac and pulmonary health. Under the direction of our licensed and certified fitness staff, members are instructed. Blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen levels are monitored throughout the class.
Classes include:
Warm up and stretching, resistance (dumbbells, bands, etc.), yoga, cardio (treadmills, bicycles), and nutrition education. Cardiac and Pulmonary Fitness Members may also use the full facility of the YMCA at their own discretion.
Classes run for one hour and are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 AM and on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00AM. The Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes focus on cardiac fitness, and the Tuesday and Thursday classes focus more on Pulmonary fitness concerns. Members are welcome to attend any and all of the cases each week.
