YMCA Fund Raising
ANNUAL PROGRAM SUPPORT PROGRAM
At the YMCA, one of our most important goals has always been to
enrich the lives of kids in our community. But when some are left
out, it leaves us all a bit poorer.
Membership and program fees at the YMCA
do not cover all costs to support these vital community programs.
To ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because
of inability to pay, we call upon individual members of the community
to help. Through the Strong Kids Campaign, your individual or corporate
contribution helps the Y provide program support and financial assistance
to youth and families who need it most in our community. Gifts of
any amount are welcome, and go directly to pay for camperships and
memberships in our programs.
Especially popular programs for community
support are the after-school programs at the Y and seven other Ulster
County sites, and summer camps at Southeast Ulster/New Paltz, Ashokan,
Kingston and the summer programs at Ellenville.
YMCA HERITAGE CLUB
This fancy title is how this Y affectionately
refers to all those who choose to support the YMCA in perpetuity,
with a gift to our Endowment Fund. Contributions designated specifically
for this purpose are invested in long-term, low risk financial vehicles
by our Board of Trustees. Only the interest is used to support annual
operations. The corpus remains in trust for ever.
For information on any of these opportunities
to support our community
based programs, contact the General Director at 845-338-3810.
